Made with four different varietals of Portuguese grapes grown here in Washington:
60% Touriga Nacional,
18% Souzã,
18% Tinta Madeira,
4% Tinta Cão.
The mouth is sweet, velvety and finishes on dark, juicy plums with a deep, garnet color. On the palate this wine has opulent flavors with a perfectly balanced and satisfyingly sweet finish.
Fortified with our own barrel-aged brandy which gives this wine a deep, warm and rich finish from the French oak barrel used for aging the brandy.
The grapes are the traditional grapes of Portugal, now grown in Washington, from Lonesome Spring Ranch and crafted into a ruby port-style dessert wine.
It is a wonderfully flexible wine great to serve with dark chocolate and especially with blue cheese..
Adorned with a lace garter and hand-dipped red wax, perfect for gift giving.
