Chelan AVA grapes
>>>> Savory, sultry and earthy
>>>> Silky tannins, black cherry
>>>> 2014 Vintage
From Dean Jacobsen of Bluffton, South Carolina on 3/21/2015.
Initial hints of tobacco leaves, then black raspberry softened with dark cherries. It finishes with a bit of tannin telling me it can be cellared for awhile.
Gem of the day!
From Doug B. of Chelan, Washington on 3/2/2015.
Tasted all over the valley today, and the 2012 Syrah was by far the gem of the day! To only be shared with special people!
LAKE CHELAN AVA INFO
Our desert-like climate (only 10 inches of
rain per year) allows us to regulate the amount of water the
vineyards receive through managed drip irrigation. Irrigation water
coming from the clear, clean glacial waters of the lake originating
in the North Cascades mountains.
Hard Row to Hoe Vineyards is committed
to the environment and to protect the water quality of the Lake
Chelan watershed. We have just become the first vineyard
in north central Washington to receive Salmon-Safe and LIVE (Low
Input Viticulture and Enology) certification.
