This wine was blended such that it simultaneously offers both elegance and power. Red raspberry, sweet blueberry make this wine salivatingly fresh from the high Grenache component. Mourvèdre adds intensity and structure while Syrah adds a savory, earthy component. Flavors of pie cherries, smoked meat, new leather and red currant. Fine tannins provide a tight and nervy structure throughout. A small percentage of stems were added back to the fermentation bins to add palate length, spice and character. .
The previous vintage scored 94 points by the Washington State Tasting Room Magazine.
