🍇 Carbonic Gamay Noir – Lake Chelan AVA
- ✔️ AVA: Lake Chelan-grown grapes
- ✔️ Style: Bright, fresh, and juicy
- ✔️ Technique: Carbonic maceration with whole clusters
- ✔️ Serving: Slightly chilled
Eschew the everyday. This isn’t just another red — it’s the only Gamay Noir grown in the Lake Chelan AVA, and it shows in every sip.
The nose explodes with wild strawberry, blackberry, raspberry — like a berry patch on a summer hike. The palate mirrors that vibrancy with notes of cranberry, pomegranate, and watermelon rind, along with a savory herbal lift: a snap of thyme or crushed basil to keep things interesting.
This is a light-bodied red with zippy acidity, low tannins, and a style that practically begs to be served slightly chilled. Think BBQ chicken, lamb kofta with tzatziki, or tomato basil bruschetta.
Made using carbonic maceration — a whole-cluster fermentation technique typically found in Beaujolais — the grapes were sealed in a closed tank to ferment with minimal skin contact, preserving their exuberant fruit character. Aged in neutral oak to let the fruit do all the talking.
“Drink now. Chill it. Share it. This is Gamay with something to say.”
